Description
A quick and easy meal made with tender beef and fresh vegetables, perfect for a light and flavorful dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Beef (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup Fresh Thai Basil Leaves
- 8–10 Rice Paper Wrappers
- 1 cup Lettuce Leaves (shredded)
- 1 cup Carrots (julienned)
- 1/2 cup Cucumbers (julienned)
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
- Optional: Chili Sauce for Dipping
Instructions
- Cook the Beef – In a pan over medium heat, cook the sliced beef until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Make sure to season it with salt and pepper! Add in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and lime juice, stirring frequently for another 2 minutes.
- Soften the Rice Paper Wrappers – Prepare a shallow bowl of warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for 10-15 seconds, or until soft.
- Assemble the Rolls – Place the softened wrapper flat on a clean surface. Start layering with shredded lettuce, then a scoop of beef, followed by carrots, cucumbers, and basil.
- Roll It Up – Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom to the top.
- Repeat – Continue with the rest of the wrappers and filling until finished.
- Serve – Arrange on a platter and serve with chili sauce on the side.
Notes
These rolls are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Best enjoyed cold or at room temperature.
