- 6 large eggs
- 1½ tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¼ cup garlic, minced
- 2¼ teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
- 3 teaspoons light brown sugar
- ½ heaping teaspoon onion powder
- 1½ teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ – 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (or to taste)
- ¾ cup low sodium chicken bone or vegetable broth
- ¼ lemon, juiced
- Kosher salt, optional
- Flat leaf parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the ice bath with cold water and ice.
- Boil the eggs in a saucepan for about 7-12 minutes.
- Plunge the eggs into the ice bath for about 2 minutes.
- Peel the eggs under running water.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Mix in Old Bay seasoning, brown sugar, onion powder, lemon pepper, paprika, and red chili flakes.
- Add the broth and simmer for about 6 minutes to thicken.
- Squeeze in lemon juice and adjust salt to taste.
- Gently pour sauce over eggs, toss to coat, and garnish with parsley.
