Description

Homemade Turkey Burgers Feta and Spinach, topped with red onion and tomato slices on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)

  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

  • 1 cup chopped fresh spinach (packed)

  • 1 egg

  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for pan)

Instructions

  • Mix it up: In a large bowl, combine turkey, feta, spinach, egg, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Use your hands (gently!) to mix until just combined.

  • Form patties: Shape into 4–5 equal-sized patties.

  • Cook: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).

  • Rest and serve: Let them rest a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Avoid overmixing, it can make the patties tough. And if the mixture feels too soft, a tablespoon of almond flour or breadcrumbs can help!)
