Description

Delicious Voodoo Egg Rolls that come together in about 30 minutes, perfect for a quick weeknight meal your family will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, chicken, or plant-based substitute)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack)
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 10 to 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in Cajun seasoning and garlic powder with salt and pepper, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine cooled beef mixture with cheese, green onions, and carrots, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape and place 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the center. Fold and roll tightly, sealing edges with water.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
