A quick and satisfying burger made with flaky croissants and juicy beef, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 4 to 6 buttery croissants
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
- 1 head iceberg or leafy greens
- 1 fresh tomato, sliced thickly
- 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
- Dill or bread and butter pickles
- Ketchup, mustard, mayo, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Slice the croissants in half and optionally toast them lightly in the skillet until golden brown.
- Prepare the ground beef by seasoning it with salt and pepper, then form into 4-ounce balls.
- Smash the beef balls on the hot skillet into patties and cook for 3-4 minutes, forming a nice crust.
- Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on top, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the bottom croissant on a plate, adding a patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments.
- Top with the upper half of the croissant and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with sweet potato fries or a green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
