Description

A delicious and fun snack made from crispy homemade barbecue potato chips, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon gold)
  • 4 cups vegetable oil (canola or peanut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Rinse the slices in cold water to remove excess starch.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry the potato slices in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Drain the chips on paper towels.
  6. Mix the seasoning in a medium bowl.
  7. Season the warm chips with the seasoning mixture.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For freshness, re-crisp in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
