Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blueberries by combining them with sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until juices are released (about 5-7 minutes).
  2. Mix in lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt; let it cool to room temperature.
  3. Whisk the heavy cream and whole milk in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Combine the cooled blueberry mixture with the cream mixture until well blended.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Churn the chilled mixture in an ice cream maker according to instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
  7. Freeze the churned ice cream in an airtight container until firm (at least 4 hours).
