- 2–3 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Season the Pork by generously seasoning it with salt, black pepper, paprika, and brown sugar.
- Sear the Pork in the Instant Pot with olive oil for about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Sauté the Aromatics by adding sliced onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Deglaze the Pot with chicken broth and BBQ sauce, scraping off the bits from the bottom.
- Pressure Cook the Pork at high pressure for 60 minutes.
- Release the Pressure naturally for about 10-15 minutes.
- Shred the Pork with two forks and mix with the sauce before serving.
