A refreshing lemon sorbet that comes together in about 30 minutes, ideal for a quick and easy dessert your family will love!
Ingredients

- 4–5 medium lemons (about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (or agave syrup)
- 2 cups water
- A couple pinches of salt
- Optional: Fresh mint or basil for garnishing
- Optional: 1 cup of raspberries or strawberries for a fruity twist
- Optional: 1 tablespoon of lemon zest for added zing
Instructions
- Prep the lemons by washing them thoroughly and zesting if desired, then juice them to get about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Make the syrup by combining 2 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
- Mix the cooled syrup with fresh lemon juice and salt in a mixing bowl. Adjust sweetness as needed.
- Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
- Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker for about 20 minutes, or freeze in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours.
- Firm up your sorbet by covering and freezing for an additional 2-4 hours.
- Serve in bowls or cones, garnishing with mint or lemon slice if desired.
