Description

Ingredients

  • Pork Ribs (2-3 pounds)
  • Brown Sugar (1 cup)
  • Paprika (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic Powder (1 tablespoon)
  • Onion Powder (1 tablespoon)
  • BBQ Sauce (optional)
  • Wood Chips for Smoking (Hickory or Applewood)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the backside.
  3. Make the spice rub by mixing brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Rub the mixture generously on both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs in the smoker and smoke for about 5-6 hours at an internal temp of 190°F (88°C).
  6. Optional: Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes.
  7. Rest the ribs for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve with your favorite sides like coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
