These Quick and Easy Sourdough Sandwich Rolls come together in about 90 minutes and are perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or as a side.

- 100 g Sourdough Starter (fed and bubbly)
- 20 g Sugar
- 250 g Water (warm)
- 30 g Olive Oil
- 500 g Bread Flour
- 10 g Salt
Instructions
- Mix your ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, sugar, and warm water. Stir until everything is dissolved.
- Add the good stuff: Pour in the olive oil next, and then sprinkle the bread flour and salt over the top.
- Bring it all together: Use your hands to mix until you have a shaggy dough. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it sit for 60 minutes.
- Knead away: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- The second rise: Place kneaded dough in the bowl, cover, and let it rise for another hour.
- Shape into rolls: Divide the dough into four equal pieces and shape into logs.
- Proof the rolls: Let logs proof on a baking tray lined with parchment paper for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven: While rolls are proofing, preheat to 200ºC (390ºF) and brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake time: Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with butter: After baking, brush the tops with melted butter and let cool on a wire rack.
