Description
This spicy and delicious Quick and Easy Sriracha Chicken comes together in about 30 minutes for a flavorful weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs (deboned but skin-on)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or olive)
- White sesame seeds (optional)
- 1½ tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, tamari, Sriracha, and rice vinegar, with a couple pinches of salt until well combined.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add the minced garlic and chicken thighs and pour the marinade over the top. Ensure everything is coated well and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the oil. Carefully place the marinated chicken in skin-side down and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Cook Through: Flip the chicken and cook for another 5-7 minutes until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Finish with the Marinade: Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet, scraping the bits off the bottom to deglaze and enhance the flavors. Allow it to thicken for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with white sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately with steamed rice and sautéed veggies.
