Description
A delicious focaccia bread that comes together in about 90 minutes, featuring fresh tomatoes and basil.
Ingredients

- 500 g All-Purpose Flour
- 10 g Salt
- 7 g Active Dry Yeast
- 300 ml Warm Water
- 60 ml Olive Oil
- 200 g Fresh Tomatoes, Sliced
- A Handful of Fresh Basil, Roughly Chopped
- Flaky Sea Salt for Sprinkling
- Optional: A drizzle of balsamic glaze
Instructions
- Combine the flour, dry yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Pour in the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a rough dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 60 minutes until doubled.
- Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Punch down the risen dough and place it on the baking sheet, stretching it into a rectangle.
- Arrange the tomato slices and chopped basil on top, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Cover again and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes and drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
